Its lacking a little in rain protection, but up against the cliff face is under an overhang.Īfter my experience with Under-the-Cliff I'll never settle there again. In the time I was there (10-ish generations) I never even saw a predator near base. its large with plenty of food in many varieties and has nice restricted access on the ground.

Have a look at Lone Kapok near the Father Tree. Rockslide Oasis (absolute crap, basically) Lone Kapok Oasis (not really explored a lot, but its position was awkward and altitude too low) Jut-Out-Boulder Oasis (has a bit of shelter and a good location, but is far too open) Split Waterfall Oasis (good resources and has shelter, but far too big, insecure, and the rivers are a pain to cross) Hidden Waterfall Oasis (the starting spot was good, but is kinda isolated and the resources limited) Cascade Oasis (very cosy and secure, but a bit small) Under-the-Cliff Oasis (easily the best, though the 2nd most isolated location besides HW) So far, of the Oasis options I've been through, I'd put them in the following order: I literally commented on Split-Waterfall Oasis in the post you were quoting.
